For a breath of fresh air and a change in routine, we are going to try to do this walk on the first Sunday of each month.
The walk will start at the circle at the end of the parking lot. Please allow plenty of time to get there since access is away from the freeway. Directions: Marin up to Spruce, left on Spruce, cross Grizzly Peak and make an immediate left on Canon towards Little Farm and continue on to the parking lot. I'm hoping the map will be accurate and help you to time your drive.
The basic walk is about 2 miles, approximately 40 minutes, pretty flat. Options include some uphill sections, so far unexplored.
We will leave promptly at 9 a.m. so try to get there a little early.
For anyone who doesn't receive this and goes to the regular spot at Cesar Chavez Park, just go ahead and walk and I'll see you there next week.
Give me a call at [masked] if you have any questions. Also, please send me your phone number by private message or e-mail it to me at [masked] -- that way, I can let you know of late cancellations because of weather or other factors. I haven't been able to get any cell phone service in the park so please call by 8:30 am. An alternative walk we may take is Inspiration Point, more details to follow. It has a paved path and would be a good idea in case of rain and mud.
Here's a link about Inspiration Point that includes directions.
