The Golder Associates OneWorld Festival will play host to various activities on site: Cultural Pavilions in the OneWorld Village
OneWorld Village Stage
OneWorld Café and Cinema
OneWorld Centennial Stage sponsored by The Calgary Foundation Elliston Park opens at 5 p.m. this year, so you can get in and set up your lawn chairs for the fireworks and then take in everything that the OneWorld Festival has to offer. Experience sights, sounds, smells and tastes from around the world; from heritage dress, ethno cultural music, amazing performances and interactive activities, there is nothing to be missed. Grab some ethnic food from any one of our many vendors or sip on a cold and refreshing beverage in the OneWorld Café and Cinema. Prior to and following each pyromusical display, selections from the Global FilmFest will be shown.

Come and experience Calgary skies as you have never seen them before by attending the Trico Homes International Fireworks Competition. Each night of the competition, breathtaking firework displays choreographed to music will be launched from Calgary’s stunning Elliston Park on International Avenue (17th Avenue SE), at the corner of 60th Street SE in Greater Forest Lawn. The synchronization of fireworks and music, the reflection of fireworks on Elliston Lake, and the aquatic fireworks that bounce off the water are all components that cannot be experienced unless you join us in the park.

Fireworks could be postponed due to any conditions that organizers feel may jeopardize public safety. The alternate weather day is the day following the regularly scheduled performance.

Please be aware that with the exception of service dogs, there are no dogs allowed in Elliston Park during GlobalFest due to the loud noises made by the fireworks. Please leave your four-legged friends at home.

Shuttle Service & Parking
We encourage you to park at Marlborough Mall and take one of our Southland shuttles to Elliston Park. Shuttles run from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then leave Elliston Park from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. The cost of a round trip is only $6. There are also designated parking lots along International Avenue operated by charitable organizations.

It'll be actually my second time taking photos at GlobalFest, but I'd be happy to get some pointers to improve my shots. Now that I think about it, I'll probably bring my film camera instead of my digital. I haven't used it for a while and I want to see if I can improve from last time.
