What we're about

This group is only for those willing to set aside time and commit to a 24-week NT Bible study, beginning in January, focusing on these actions: read and learn, reflect and change, and go and do. This will be life transforming as we grow to be more in-depth disciples.

This week we will review James chapters 1 through 5! This will be like an "ouch" or "oh me!" What is God showing me? What is new to me about him? Is there a promise that is new to me or a familiar one that is needed as a reminder? What is God asking of me? Is there something I should stop doing? Start doing? Or even continue doing? Who am I sharing these things with? Am I praying to see and capitalize on new opportunities to share the Gospel? When was the last time I shared the Gospel with someone? Do I know how to naturally share Jesus with someone? Am I willing to learn how? Am I doing what God is asking of me? Do I believe Jesus is worthy enough for me to ask these questions of myself as I read scripture? Trusting the Lord with our lives is the greatest action we can do as we worship him daily. It brings glory to our Lord and he promises that we live with purpose and will live an abundant life here on earth, even before heaven (John 10:10)! That is awesome! This is not a mechanical life, but a dynamic one as we participate in the growth of God's Kingdom, watch him transform lives (including our own) and even experience joy and peace as we obey through trials and celebrations. Blessings! Mike
