Next to no cell phone service once you are in the Park area
No public washrooms near the Falls, last comfort station is at the launch point.

Poison Ivy is found along hiking trails, hiker be ware.
Snack food and forgotten items can be purchased at camp store at launch point and at outfitter outside the main gate.
Canoes and kayaks can be rented if booked in advance at camp store or at outfitters out side the gate. At your own cost. Let me know I can get booking information for you in advance.

Wildlife seen on previous trips: Ducks, large snapping turtles, squirrels and chipmunks.

Camp site might be available for that weekend.
I will be camping that weekend some where in the general area.

Cost is $14.50 per car, car pooling is optional. Cost is payable at the gate by the driver.

Camping cost is extra, depending on where you want to camp
If camping Grand Lake is a great night paddle, another water falls without portaging and some native painting on the rocks to see.

Side Notes: If you are planning on camping , Sunday morning I am planning to do a small day trip up the Barron Canyon , from Squirrel Rapids to Brigham Chute and back to Squirrel Rapids. There are 2 portages each way, and paddle time is about 7 hours. Chance to see the Baron Canyon from the water level.
Easy Paddle, easy portages .
Final part of day is a short hike up to top of Canyon.
If you want to just meet to do part of Baron Canyon , we can arrange to meet up.

Both trips offer a great chance to enjoy nature, ducks, geese, turtle, beavers, plus deer, moose if they are near the water line.

Contact me for more information. I will provide maps and other information for those interested.

I will most likely have 2 kayaks with me. Could loan the day tripper out.
I will have my sea kayak and a one recreational 12 foot day tripper for my canyon trip. This will not be the whole canyon trip that Ray and I did last year.
