OpenStack Plus Docker - A Good Fit

I've been preaching Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Docker Linux Containers for several months now. We had a really good presentation from Nick Feamster a leading pioneer on SDN who is now a Professor at Georgia Tech, and I gave an  introduction on Docker and possibilities of it's ecosystem.  Now in my daytime job, I have been fortunate enough to spend time on OpenStack Havana  plus Neutron, the SDN network component of it.  I've arrived at the point where I can share my experiences on using Neutron plus the Docker plugin and can show why i think this combination could become a real challenger to the leading Virtual Machine vendors.
