What we're about
Join with others who have found their pilgrim experience on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain rich and transformational and want to share it with others! Perhaps you are here because you are thinking of taking a time out from your life for mindful exercise, reflection, solace, spiritual rejuvenation, communion with others from around the world on a trek in Spain? Making a pilgrimage for many of us was a profound commitment of mind, body and spirit.
The American Pilgrims on the Camino--Minneapolis Chapter welcomes those who have been pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, those who are interested in learning about or contemplating a pilgrim experience on the Camino, and those who are planning on returning to the Camino to do service. The Chapter provides area hikes, hosts speakers on the Camino, encourages cultural and language learning to enrich the Camino experience in Spain, and other related events. This Chapter's affiliation with the national APOC organization opens additional resources to those who have received their Compostela to receive training to be able to return to the Camino and do various forms of service.
This Chapter will work to engage members who have been on pilgrimage to share their preparation and stories with those planning on going and expand leadership in this Chapter and service involvement information and opportunities related to the Camino.
Should you desire to have a mentor who will answer your questions, share their experiences, support you and identify additional helpful resources, please email this site.

"When you travel, you experience, in a very practical way, the act of rebirth. You confront completely new situations, the day passes more slowly....You begin to be more accessible to others because they may be able to help you in difficult situations...." --Paulo Coelho from The Pilgrimage
