What we're about
This is a group for people who share a common commitment to church-state separation and individual freedoms. Local events educate to expose abuses and advocate for fair and just remedies. We are religious, educational, and community leaders, people from different religious faiths and no faith, and people with different political and philosophical viewpoints. Americans United for Separation of Church and State is a national organization established in 1947 by distinguished leaders from political, religious and educational communities. The local chapter was organized in 2001. Nonpartisan and non-profit, 501(c)(3), national and local chapters of Americans United across the U.S. work together to help Americans understand the vital role that separation of church and state plays in protecting religious and personal freedoms for all Americans.
