- Let's go the the NBPT Car Show!
Let’s go to the Car Show! Please join me for the 5th annual Cruisin’ the 50’s event on Thursday, August 17th from 5 – 8 PM in downtown Newburyport. Most of the cars will be on State, Pleasant, Unicorn, and Inn Streets but other streets will also have show-cars. I have always loved hot rods, rat rods and muscle cars. Works of art on wheels! The wheels are beautiful too! This is a great opportunity to take photographs and capture images of rare cars. You won’t want to miss this event: it’s possibly the last car show in Newburyport since the sponsor of the car show was WNBP and the radio station recently was sold. (Of course, the Carriagetown Car Show in Amesbury will continue to be run by Wes Pettengill who also has been at the helm of the NBPT event.) This event gets crowded! Wear comfortable shoes and remember that the main downtown area streets are closed to non-show cars starting at about 2pm so plan on parking and walking a bit. Local favorites “The Transistors” will return this year to play a free outdoor concert in Market Square from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Cruisin’ the 50’s is a free event open to all. Enjoy beautiful classic cars in the picturesque historic downtown of Newburyport, MA. State Street, Pleasant Street and Inn Street will be open to pedestrians only and classic cars will also be parked on other surrounding streets as well. If necessary, the rain date for this event is Tuesday, August 29th. Let’s go to the Car Show!
- Group mixer at my open house
We are overdue to have our first meeting and I apologize for not getting to it sooner. I just finished running a 13 day festival in town and have been wrapping up and catching up on rest. I am combining our event with an open house at my office. PLEASE, do not feel like you're being pressured into anything. My goal is to keep people flowing in and out during the afternoon and we can all get to know each other. This is a big group, we're at 109 people. How cool is that?!! My office is a very casual setting: couch, chaise lounge, disco lights...you get the idea. So, I'm a bit hyper, a little eccentric and I love entertaining. This is the perfect afternoon for me. Open House | Mixer | Refreshments Served SATURDAY, JULY 29TH One Day Only Pop Up Shop! 12 Noon - 4PM 50 Market Street, Amesbury, MA 01913 TheMichelleD.com |[masked] • One-of-a-kind jewelry • Candles • Photography • Unique household items & accessories FABULOUS THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU NEEDED :-)
- Salem, MA Walking Tour and Casual Photography
The Wisteria is blooming in Salem, MA! Lots of people associate Salem with Halloween and Autumn but Salem is so beautiful this time of year. Gorgeous old Victorian, Italianate and Second Empire architecture, sailboats on the harbor and a mix of quaint and eclectic living makes for some fantastic moments to capture on film. We can meet at the Bewitched statue at the corner of Essex & Washington Streets. On street metered parking or park at either the commuter rail station or the garage at the pedestrian mall. The weather on Saturday is predicted for 65 degrees, I suggest dressing in layers, wear comfortable walking shoes that allow you to navigate cobblestone sidewalks and sunscreen, if you're in to that sort of thing. We'll walk at a leisurely pace through the McIntyre historic district, downtown pedestrian mall, and either Salem Commons or Pickering Wharf. We can grab lunch at noon after we take photos. Lunch is paid by the individual. I lived in Salem for a few years and know some great places to take photos. I'm not an expert photographer, but do enjoy taking my camera out for a day of exploration.
