  • Drinks, pizza and Python

    Byte Headquarters

Hi all, It's time for a new meetup! We'd like to do it a little bit different this time. From December on we will have new headquarters (across Westerpark) so this will be the last meetup at this amazing place. To celebrate that, we'd like to have a lot of drinks, pizza and cosiness. It's different because we don't organize talks this time. Let's just talk informal about Python and other stuff with each other. We will decorate our beautiful rooftop balconies with lights and tips to talk about in case you don't know what to say to somebody. ;) Because there are no talks we don't need all the chairs we normally have so now we have more space for people to come over. It's going to be awesome. Hope to see you then!

  • Open Python meetup in one OSCON evening

    Needs a location

OSCON will be in Amsterdam again after years of absence. How about a Python meetup in Amsterdam in the same week so that people attending OSCON can meet local Pythonistas and vice-versa? I will speak about Python asyncio (http://www.oscon.com/open-source-eu-2015/public/schedule/detail/42860) at OSCON and I could invite members of the audience to the Python meetup. Perhaps we can also convince other OSCON speakers or attendees to come to the meetup too. My talk at the Portland PUG during OSCON 2015 was well attended and well received (http://www.meetup.com/pdxpython/events/220738074/), and I wasn't the only OSCON participant to go to the meetup.
