  • Up2

The random days month is rolling around and we this month we will talk Ansible!

19:00: Welcome Drinks
19:30 - 20:30: Talk
20:30 - 20:45: Raffle
20:45: Social, drinks and Pizza

Talk: Ansible Project Deploy

Ansible is a provisioning tool rapidly growing in popularity, mainly due to it’s simplicity. But it’s capable of more than just provisioning! In this talk, I’ll walk you through an Ansible role that can be used to deploy your projects. Those familiar with Capistrano will recognize the method, but I’ll explain it step by step and in the end I’ll show a real-world example from a Symfony2 project: the SweetlakePHP website. (this talk assumes some knowledge of how Ansible works)

Speaker: Ramon de la Fuente

Ramon is a company owner, developer and family man (not necessarily in that order). He has a strong database background. With 14+ years of experience in web development,he has seen technologies come and go - but robust design is always a must. He enjoys the puzzle of a piece of code, and the fact that there's always more solutions to be found for a problem.

He's also a co-founder of the SweetlakePHP user group, and an occasional writer for

We got some awesome stuff to give away this month, so make sure you attend another awesome meetup!

Too bad I could not attend. If anyone is interested in using / trying Ansible we've created a lot of roles last year and there are more to come!

Great place for a meetup! Lot's of space. I also really liked that the host talked about _how_ they work in their company, instead of the marketing-selling talk about _what_ they build.

Good talk about a very useful ansible module, which is not PHP itself, but supporting you to become a skilled PHP developer, so great for diversity. I'm gonna try it out this weekend.

Also, new raffling material? A-w-e-s-o-m-e! And yes, especially the yellow elephphant :D

Great space, could even hold more people. Snacks and pizzas were plenty and the host was awesome.

Hi, Sorry for the short notice, but I am feeling really ill and don't want to ruin the talk by coughing endlessly. Someone can take my spot too.

I'm nursing a cold and won't be able to come tonight :-(, so please give my place to someone on the waiting list.

Your best chance of nearby parking, is in front of Amstel hotel. We sadly don't have private free parking places available. But public transport is great, stop Weesperplein is less than 1 minute from the office. So in 4 minutes from Amsterdam Central, or 3 minutes from Amsterdam Amstel you are here.

Is there any parking space available nearby?

    Looking forward!
