Monthly Meeting

Our regular monthly meeting on the first wednesday of every month!

Tatiana Sidorenkova would tell us about the problem of trust in e-commerce and how to make those who are on the distance feel comfortable buying things from you.

Speaker: Tatiana Sidorenkova

She is a UX Designer & Researcher with a post-master’s degree in User-System Interaction (TU/e). She is an expert in research and evaluation methods, but also works in entire UX lifecycle. She can't live without analysing things and think about how they could be improved! She is especially interested in creating new research methods, Design Thinking and social change by design. Talk: Can you manage distrust in your online store?

Trust is a key factor in making a purchase in e-commerce, a rapidly growing industry. The most of research into this topic lack a theoretical basis. Aiming to overcome this disadvantage, we conducted our own study where we used a solid theoretical concept and a strict research design scheme. In the talk we will go through our main findings and discuss their possible application to your online stores.

How to capture this abstract matter? How to deal with it? Could be there any measures at all? What factors matter? We found out, that trust and distrust levels correlate with such things like a size of expected purchase and a size of possible loss. But what most interesting, the final decision to purchase depends on the level of distrust. Let's look through details together!
