8-Person Tutorial: Customer Profitability Analytics: Core Algorithms + Use Cases

  • Jun 10, 2014 · 9:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Learn how to calculate customer profitability and how to use customer profit metrics in high-impact ways to improve business outcomes. Join us for a tutorial workshop next Tuesday...and be ready to begin implementing customer profitability analytics on Wednesday.

The tutorial will be led by Jaime Fitzgerald, who has helped implement customer profitability analytics for more than 15 years, including but not limited to work for JP Morgan Chase, CitiBank, Capital One, Bridgestone Firestone, and TD Ameritrade. Attendees will receive templates they can use to apply the concepts they learn in the tutorial.

Attendance is limited to the 1st 8 attendees to RSVP, to ensure that each attendee receives personal attention to address any questions they may have about applying customer profitability analytics in their organization.

Gourmet Coffee, Bagels, and Fresh Fruit will be provided.

Event Objective: the objective of the event is to enable attendees to learn the specifics of how to estimate profitability at the customer-level, essentially creating a "customer level P&L Statement" on a monthly, yearly, and lifetime basis. Being able to do this accurately is essential to enabling a range of high-impact analytic methods and use-cases.

Event Agenda:

Introduction to Customer Profitability Analysis, including it's history, how it has been used in the past, and the role these methods play in analytic work today

Customer Profitability Algorithms: we will walk through the specific algorithms you need to use to turn raw data into customer profitability metrics, and share tips on how to customize them depending on your business model, data sources, and how you intend to use the metrics

Data Requirements: We will define the data required to implement customer profitability algorithms Process: we will share an efficient process developed over 15 years to plan and execute analytic projects

Use Cases: 5 common use-cases of customer profitability will be illustrated to give attendees a sense of how these metrics can be used to achieve specific business objectives

Speakers will include myself (Jaime Fitzgerald) and my team at Fitzgerald Analytics. I've been helping clients with Customer Profitability Analytics since the summer of 1996, and it has become an important and recurring theme in our work through the present day.

The fee is a bit higher than most meetups, but if you are planning to work with customer data in your career, we guarantee this workshop will increase your lifetime earnings by far more than $23.75 ;-) -- and don't worry, most of our event remain free or very low cost, so we don't take it personally if you wait for the next one :-)

Hey Jaime, I reviewed these helpful primer slides from an earlier meetup you conducted... are there other materials that you would recommended we read before this tutorial session takes place next week? Thank you.

Dear Mr. Brennan, Thank you for taking the time to find + review the primer. Yes, there are several additional articles I recommend reading...this post contains a link to each of them: http://fitzgerald-ana...
That post links to each of the articles, but I also have PDFs of each I can email to you if that is more convenient. If you would like me to send those, just shoot me a note with your email address and I will make it happen. -Jaime
