Welcome to Analyze Boulder 20! We're thrilled about our partnership with CU Leeds School of Business (http://www.meetup.com/CU-Leeds-Business-Analytics/), bringing nationally-renowned analytics speakers to Boulder (apologies if you're a member of the Leeds Meetup and see this message twice - RSVP to either one).

Our second Fellow in the series, Owen Zhang, will present and hold Q&A for 45-60 minutes, while two local speakers will use the standard Analyze Boulder 5-minute flash-style presentation format. Here's the lineup for this very special evening:

Boulder Analytics Fellow (45-60 minute presentation):

Owen Zhang (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/owen-zhang/51/aa0/363), Chief Product Officer at DataRobot (http://www.datarobot.com/) in New York City, not only holds the total lead on the Kaggle data science competition website (in competition with 200,000 data scientists), his score is nearly double that of the #2 ranked data scientist. He'll share methodology, insights, and tips for winning data science competitions.

Local presenters (5 minute flash-style presentation):

Jeff Kolb (https://twitter.com/kolb), a Data Scientist at Twitter (https://twitter.com), will present on a tool developed with various technologies that continuously calculates various characterizations of Tweets (how many tweets in the last 60 minutes were in Arabic? How many unique users from Boulder, Colorado retweeted a particular tweet last week?) and exposes the results in a user-friendly web interface.

Paul McReynolds (https://twitter.com/pauljmcr), CTO from Conspire (https://www.conspire.com), will present on what happens when one links social and professional graphs to email data graph: who has the strongest connections, how big your first-, second- and third-degree networks are, how many people you know that none of your contacts know, or that nobody else in the graph knows (yet). He'll also talk about identity on the internet, where one person masquerades as many through various handles and addresses.

As always, there will be great beer on tap from Vindication Brewing (http://vindicationbrewing.com/).
