For thousands of years, cultures all over the world have gathered together the during the evening of the solstice, and practiced different ways of holding the light, or chasing away the darkness on the longest night of the year.
This year, we invite you to gather with us to keep the light shining on this long, long night!
We are having this special solstice kirtan on December 21st at the Ananda Community Living Joy Center from 6-9 pm, using divine music to fan the flames of the eternal light.
This is an open kirtan, so anyone, any age, is welcome to bring an instrument (or borrow one of ours!) and lead a chant, or play along. Come for all or part – hope to see you there!
