Karma, the law of human "cause and effect" at work in spirit and nature, has been described "As you sow,so you shall reap" in the Bible and by John Lennon in his song:
"Instant Karma's gonna get you,
gonna knock you off your feet,
Better recognize your brothers
everyone you meet
Why in world are we here?
Surely not to live in pain and fear."
Yoga teaches that one can gradually transcend the bondage of negative karma and ultimately merge with one's "true nature" the liberated soul. The great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda emphasised constantly the importance of a meditation practice for those who want to keep, as he said "attuning oneself deeply with the all-loving Inner Silence" and rise "into the freedom of Spirit."
In this meeting, we will explore yogic teachings and meditation as a way to experience joy at the center of our being- beyond "space and time." Using Yogananda's powerful and scientifically proven techniques, you will learn ways to expand love and peace within your inner and outer world. In turn, with continued practice and glimpses of the soul's light, one is able to "glow" from the inside-out and increasingly:
"...shine on like the moon the stars and the sun."
All spiritual affiliations of non are welcome! No experience is required!
This meetup is part of a series of ongoing weekly meditation group meetings at this location.
We are a non-profit group but donations are always welcome! (suggested donation of 5-10 dollars but nobody turned away for lack of funds)
If you would like to volunteer in any way, i.e: bringing healthy snacks, help set of clean up, that would be wonderful! Please contact Paul any time.
