"Meet everybody and every circumstance on the battlefield of life with the courage of a hero and the smile of a conqueror."-Paramhansa Yogananda
Want to feel less swayed by the opinions of others and feel more inwardly grounded regardless of changes in outer circumstances? Meditation, the yogic science of ancient India, allows one to live more in the center of his/her being and less on the periphery and at the mercy of outside things. This in turn reduces the ceaseless feeling of "being on a hamster wheel" of mental busyness, allowing one to speak, act, and live from a calm and even courageous sense of inner knowing. In turn, we can live with a self-confidence- not of self-limiting bravado, but of faith.
In this meeting, we will explore meditation as a tool to connect with our inner strength. With support for each person's individuality, we will practice scientifically proven techniques of the great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda, that can allow us to "choose our battles" more wisely and, with greater ease, intuitively know what is for us right at any given moment.
All spiritual affiliations of non are welcome! No experience is required!
This meetup is part of a series of ongoing weekly meditation group meetings at this location.
We are a non-profit group but donations are always welcome! (suggested donation of 5-10 dollars but nobody turned away for lack of funds)
If you would like to volunteer in any way, i.e: bringing healthy snacks, help set of clean up, that would be wonderful! Please contact Paul any time.
