Meditation and Non-Attachment

"Attachment is blinding; it lends an imaginary halo of attractiveness to the object of desire." -Swami Yukteswar,
in "Autobiography of a Yogi"

This week Brook and Sean, Co-Directors of Ananda LA, will guest lead our ongoing meditation group-
topic being: Non-Attachment. I have first hand learned a great deal from observing both of their inspiring examples in action while practicing this challenging yet ultimately freeing subject.

In my own experience, yogic non-attachment doesn't mean coldness or being uncaring towards others- it means
caring also for my own inner well being and peace of mind. In this way, I can be more calmly effective in my activities, reduce alot of unnecessary drama, and walk through situations with more dignity and energy intact.
It's a process and some moments are better than others but living yoga is always directional- and perhaps that's why it's also called a "practice!"smile
Hope you can join us, it's sure to be a rewarding evening!
