Primal Skills Sunday with Chris Morasky

Primal Skills Sunday with Chris Morasky!

Join wildlife biologist and Stone Age skills expert Chris Morasky for a full day of learning earth skills!  Chris has over 28 years of teaching expertise and is recognized as one of the foremost authorities in North America.

We'll start with a Walkabout, finding edible and medicinal plants and familiarizing ourselves with the this beautiful and abundant location.  We'll eat some wild plants, make rope, discover what plants make soap and which can be used as a toothbrush, make a quickie survival knife, make Stone Age fire by rubbing together the sticks we find, build a shelter and much more!

You'll also learn about intuitive and silent movement, expansion of awareness, plant and animal connection, and the ethics of gathering.  You become part of the land, not just a traveler moving through it.

Don't worry about the heat.  We'll be in the shade almost all day and there is a small stream flowing through the land with watercress, cattail and other edibles.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy!

Cost: $25.  Advance payment is preferred.  To reserve your spot, send your payment via paypal to [masked].

What to bring:

A sharp knife (I'll bring a sharpening stone and show you how to use it)

Water

Lunch

Your enthusiasm to learn and a big smile :)

These pics are from "back in the day..." when I had long hair and lived in the mountains of Idaho in a tipi.

Oh, and kudos to Jim too, who contributed his vast knowledge and tools to those of us who wanted to learn more as the meetup went a long.
