A ROOM with a ViewModel - Part 1
This is the first of three separate presentations designed to show a best practice way to store/access data stored in a local sqlite database. Part 1 - Use the ROOM Sdk to replace old sqlite boiler plate code. Part 2 - Access the sqlite data using LiveData. Part 3 - Refactor the code to follow Google's recommended Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture. * Intermediate or greater skill level recommended. ** All code will be done in Kotlin - If you are new to Kotlin, see Joey's Intro to Kotlin presentation slides here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1CXkcE5h5Cdxd3F8thbUDo8iymOspfn9eU8wlXjxvH0o/ Kelly Feest and Proven Recruiting will be sponsoring us with food and drink. Thank you Proven!

    What we're about

http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/0/2/e/event_63525102.jpeg Welcome to the San Diego Android Developers group!

The SDADG is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Our members include serious Android gurus and people who are just getting started with Android development. Our group is a diverse mix of engineers, entrepreneurs, recruiters, and Android enthusiasts who enjoy getting together and discussing technologies and trends in the Android world.

If you're interested in developing applications for the Android platform, looking to network with other Android companies and developers, or hoping to test your applications against other devices, then come to one of our regular meetups!

We are supported both through corporate sponsors and through individual contributors. We are actively seeking Android experts to speak about their experiences and present Android products that they have developed at our meetings. We encourage inquiries from any individual or organization that would like to present to our membership.

So join now and help us build this group to show the world that San Diego is serious about Android!
