A project came across my desk the other day that I thought would be great for us to work on. I already have the project spec'd out. I have the project broken up into about 8 10-hour tasks. If anyone is interested in getting some real world experience on a production ready android app, then bring your laptop and let's get work.
The goal of this meeting will be to get introduced to the project, get everyone setup on the repository and assign tasks.
ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME!
We can meet at my office. There are plenty of paid parking in the area $3-$7. The Padres are away that day.
Bring a couple of dollars if you want to go in on a pizza.
I know coming downtown is a pain, so I'll also setup a G+ Hangout for those that can't make it.
If you are planning on joining the G+ Hangout, make sure you follow me (https://plus.google.com/s/bryan%20paijit) so I can invite you to the Hangout.
If you haven't already, try to get your dev environment setup. We will be using Eclipse. Here (http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2010/10/25/get-started-developing-for-android-with-eclipse/) is a tutorial to get your environment setup. We will also be using the Google Code Repository and SVN for version control. You can find a tutorial on how to set it up here (http://blog.msbbc.co.uk/2007/06/using-googles-free-svn-repository-with.html). I'll give you the access to the project during the meetup. Just get the Svn Repository Explorer installed for now.
