Announcing a new Meetup for Android Programming Classes at the Alameda Public Library!
What: Second Part: Intro to Android Mobile Programming Workshop (BYOL)
When: Thursday, May 13,[masked]:00 PM
Alameda Free Library
1550 Oak St
Alameda, CA 94501
This second class a continuation of the first class that occurred last week.
Please only come if you were part of the class last week, or at the very least if you have your environment set up and are able to successfully run an 'Hello World' program on the Android emulator. There is no need to rsvp through the library this time, you can just use the meetup interface.
The class is from 6 to 9 PM in the computer lab on the second floor in the computer lab. Don't forget your laptop. We'll have some optional office hours from 5 to 6 PM for anyone who may have some Android project in mind that they'd like to get some help on.
We?ll give you a very basic 40,000 feet overview of Android development (whatever we didn't cover last week), and we?ll guide you through creating your own application from scratch, with a simple layout, a very simple form, and a button wired with limited functionality.
We'll also introduce some specific errors in your program, and during the last hour, Lawrence will teach you how to use the Android Debugger, DDMS, and the Android Debugging Bridge.
