What languages and technologies do you use?

.Net C#, XAML, MVVM, MVC, Visual C++, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Fortran. Lately, I've been learning more about Ruby, Haskell, Scala, Julia, and various JavaScript and Ruby frameworks, including AngularJS and Rails.

Are you using AngularJS to build applications? Tell us about your experiences with AngularJS.

I started building my portfolio website in Angular, as well as the front-ends for some work that faculty at the university have requested of me. It instantly reminded me of MVVM in .Net within the first few minutes I began experimenting with it. The attempt at encapsulating the UI View completely away from the control logic via data-binding seems more intuitive to me than most other architectural approaches I've come across. I think it has a lot of potential in the scientific realm because its features, particularly the data-binding, can be scaled to make quick work of the task of displaying large data sets. It already performs quite well with the stuff I've worked with so far.

I'm a physics student and have been writing software, mostly on Windows, for many years now. I've recently begun studying more open-source technologies and like the way AngularJS and other frameworks match a method to the madness of the web.
