• May Meetup: Build a donation platform using Ng/Node & Stripe w/ Michael Jordan

Welcome to the May Meetup! Odds are that someone within your personal network either works for or is heavily involved with a non-profit organization... maybe it's you. But you don't have to be an insider to see why most non-profits struggle with their resource model. That's because many of these organizations are dependent on donor funding to stay afloat. In this talk I'll share the story of one young organization that decided to use technology to automate routine back-office work in order to scale their impact and reduce the cost of raising a dollar. We'll dive into the nuts and bolts of a home grown donation platform built on Angular and Node with various integrations including Stripe for payment processing. Hope to see you there! # Agenda: 6:30 - 7:00 Arrive, eat, drink & socialize 7:00 - 7:10 Announcements 7:10 - 8:15 Main Presentation: "Build a donation platform using Ng/Node & Stripe" with Michael Jordan 8:15 - 8:30 Giveaways & Wrap-up ## Parking info: **NOTE A CHANGE HERE!** Now we park in the lot *behind Firestone*, on the West / Northwest corner of 9th St and Jackson (kitty corner from the old lot next to Virtuwell, which is turning into a hotel rapidly!). The spots available to Virtuwell and its visitors (us) are marked by pretty obvious signs in that lot, and while they say 6am-6pm I have the assurances of staff that they are free for our attendees to use. Otherwise, the Jackson Street garage is also fair game, though it is not free, and you can sometimes find street parking in the area. ## Under 21? You are clearly a wunderkind if you’re coming to an Angular Meetup. But please help us keep these meetings safe and “up to code.” Steer clear of any alcohol. We appreciate you doing your part. We want to keep having these, so please don’t get us shut down. • What to bring An appetite for food, drink and showcasing your best self in conversation, as well as your thoughtful questions for our speaker!
