Cole Bros Circus protest DeLand- 2 days

Please join ARFF and help us protest the Cole Bros Circus

Each year the Cole Bros. Circus travels thousands of miles across the eastern U.S. with a menagerie of animals including elephants. Please help us educate circus goers during their Deland visit, just a short drive from Orlando. We have great access to the public making it a great opportunity to get information into the public hands. Last year we handed out HUNDREDS of flyers!!!!!

Saturday March 15th 3:30 & 6:30
Sunday March 16th 12:30 & 3:30

Location: The protest will be along the sidewalk directly in front of the circus and the elephant rides. Look for the Red and Yellow tent at the corner of Flight Line and International Speedway Blvd directly across from 810 Flight Line Blvd

Here is just SOME of the positive response from circus goers educated by our efforts last year in Deland at ARFF's Cole Bros Circus protest

Elephants in the circus commonly suffer from neglect, inadequate veterinary care and inhumane handling. The Cole Bros. Circus has a particularly poor reputation. In 2003, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) cited Cole Bros. after a handler struck an elephant with a broom handle. In 2000, USDA inspectors noted that two Cole Bros. elephants had bullhook scars. In the past 10 years, at least five elephants with the Cole Bros. Circus have died.

See you there!

Over 1000 flyers talking about Cole Bros Circus' history of animal abuse & violations were distributed this weekend in DeLand to a receptive crowd. Everyone attending the circus had to walk by protesters who lines the sidewalk holding signs. SO MANY PEOPLE EDUCATED about what these animals go through, and *that is whats important. Thank you all for taking time this weekend to be a voice for the animals

Jc's Bike Shop in DeLand is acting as an advance ticket location for the circus. Please contact the store and ask them not to help the circus sell tickets. Let them know that you don't support businesses that support cruelty. Submit comments online (, by email ([masked]) or post a comment on the store's facebook page (
