120 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY
Brooklyn rabbit hoarder Dorota Trec had 179 rabbits seized by NYPD from her property in 2015 whom she left outside during the horrendous blizzard, most of them riddled with diseases & injuries such as syphilis, conjunctivitis, torn ears, bite wounds & genital trauma. She was charged with 125 counts of animal cruelty;her trial began WED MAY 4th!
On Monday Nov. 21st, Trec was found GUILTY of 100 out of 125 counts of animal cruelty! Trec has been pulling shenanigans throughout the trial. She continued once the verdict was read. The sentencing will happen next but we expect Trec to retaliate and stall with some absurdity.
Please come out to see justice done for these rabbits and hopefully the end to this hoarder's story. There has been good media coverage so far and we expect the sentencing will make even greater news.
Court begins at 930 am & all attendees must go through security. it is unknown when this case will be called; it could be at 9:30. If you arrive later, just look up where Dorota Trec's trial is on the defendant chart. (should be "Trial Part 1") WEAR A SHADE OF BLUE OR RABBIT IMAGERY- pin, button. Bring photo ID to enter courthouse. No posters are allowed. In the court room, we'll be sitting quietly and respectfully but very obviously in support of justice for the rabbits. Outside at some point we will likely have the chance to talk to media.
