Abstract: Slack is where work happens. Slack applications helping our work-life become much more collaborative, and efficient have the biggest part of its success. Companies are also realizing the importance of bringing their services into Slack. In this presentation, I’ll talk about how to start developing your first Slack application, application types, different APIs, when to use which capabilities and some of the best practices. At the end of the presentation, I’ll make a demo showing a Slack application running on Serverless environment (AWS Lambda).
Prior knowledge as a Slack user will be very helpful to understand the concepts but hands-on experience of a similar tool like HipChat will also be enough.
