Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables"

This is our official January discussion, where we will be discussing the book that we democratically selected as a group. This time we are reading "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo. Thanks to Frank for nominating it!

Amazing book, I am so glad Frank nominated it (and so sad that I couldn't finish it in time). Olga's worked pretty well as a venue for us--sorry if anyone came late and missed us!

Great book club. Even though I didn't finish it was still really enjoyable.

Were we met today was a much better venue than at Sweetwater's. I felt that everyone was able to be heard and the only really bad background noise was a crying toddler.

We are going to try meeting at Sweetwaters one more time. If again it is too crowded, we will definitely have to start meeting at a new location from February. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

I got the abridged version of the audio book on CD from the Ann Arbor library and it is only 12.5 hours which is the length of a typical audio book.

This book is available for free audio download, in case anyone is driving and wants to listen for 57 hours!
