UMMA/AA Classics Book Group Partnership

Hi everyone.

I know that I just sent an email out to you all this morning; hopefully, you will forgive me for this second email, since I have some very exciting news to announce and am seeking your feedback on the matter.

The newly renovated University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) has contacted me about sponsoring our group. They would like to give us a place to meet and publicize our group on their website, as part of their community arts outreach program (they may also give our members other perks). Their commons can accommodate 60+ people and they can also provide us a place for film viewings.

Ideally, UMMA would like us to meet between 7 pm to 10 pm between Tuesday and Saturday biweekly. We would still choose one of our books democratically each month and the other will be chosen based on member nominations or by me. UMMA is currently trying to figure out scheduling (and may allow us Sundays for meeting). I would like to know how this sounds to you, as members, which days would work for you between Tuesday and Saturday (provided Sundays are unavailable), and if you would prefer a start time of 7:00, 7:30 or 8:00 pm.

If you could please send me an email letting me know your thoughts and your availability or post to the message board under the topic "UMMA Sponsorship & Scheduling", I would greatly appreciate the feedback. I really believe that as a book group in Ann Arbor, we could not have attracted a more prestigious sponsor!

We may readjust our pending meetups DH Lawrence and Rohinton Mistry to accomodate UMMA's">UMMA's schedule- so be on the lookout.
