Learn how to create abstract, uniquely hand-crafted images.
Photography is usually about capturing something that is definable and recognizable like people, architecture, and landscapes. Within these types of photographs there are variations in approach and style, but ultimately the subject remains the same. As photographers, we look for ways to distinguish our work and to create a magical image that no one has ever made before.
In this workshop each attendee will have their own station with the materials needed to construct a completely unique and unprecedented abstract form, and capture it as a photograph. Using a few simple items, you will learn how to make images that will inspire you and expand the limits of your photography.
What you will learn:
How to construct and capture fluid design photographs
How to incorporate experimentation and random variables to your advantage
What makes a compelling abstract image
How to wait for and recognize the right moment to make your image
Selective lighting and it’s influence on atmosphere
