What we're about

This group is for single Catholics ages 30 - 60 years old. It is based on three pillars: Spiritual, Social and Service. We will meet for Bible studies or spiritual discussion on a variety of topics. We will plan social events including dining out, hiking/walking, biking, canoeing, movies, parties, road trips, etc. We will also plan service projects based on the Corporal Works of Mercy and the Spiritual Works of Mercy. The goal is to walk our faith journey while having fun making new friends. (If you are married/separated, please do not join this group. There is always a chance for reconciling your marriage. If your divorce is finalized, you are more than welcome.)

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church will host a musical event including performances by all of the choirs, plus Bible readings. I attended this event last year and it was most enjoyable. Peaceful, meditative and beautiful music! Afterward we will walk to Zingerman's Cafe for a sandwich or whatever tickles your taste buds. Or maybe you want to try a THICK Spanish Hot Chocolate. YUM!

Beyond Resolutions: Vision Board Workshop

Ypsilanti District Library

$10.00

We've all done it: make New Year's resolutions and by the end of March we fell off the wagon. Let's do something different! What is your "some day" list? Those things you say, "Some day, I want to do ___" or "If I ever win the lottery I would go on vacation to ___". Or maybe you just want to be out of debt, buy your own home, or lose a few pounds (for real, this time). WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK FROM SUCCEEDING? This workshop will help you expand what you think is really possible to achieve, guide you to discover which of your goals & dreams are truly important to you and how to achieve them. We will start promptly at 1pm, so please arrive early; you need to be present for the entire event in order for all parts to fit together. You will be provided a notebook, pen, posterboard, snack & waterbottle. RSVP here and pay the $10 fee to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 8 attendees.
