What we're about

We meet the last Thursday of every month. Members of this monthly book club will read books across genres that explore issues of race in America as a means of better understanding ourselves, our history and our greater Milwaukee community. I recently moved to Milwaukee, the most segregated metro region in the country. While I don't know what the solution is to this issue of segregation, nor what is all already being done, I know that education is vital and that self awareness and understanding are essential to change. I hope together we can learn and challenge ourselves.
