What do you write?

My blog, On the Fly, has been live since April 2012. A smidgen of history, a dash of culture, and a minute dedicated to make you smile.

How often do you write?

If the definition of writing is, one who is paid to produce works that derive income or royalties, the answer is a resounding no. However, if its someone who every morning parks his hind-side at a desk and taps away at a keyboard attempting to clarify his thinking, improve written communication skills, synthesize experiences and knowledge, I emphatically say in a sonorous voice, Yes.

Why do you want to join this Merry Band?

Improve my writing skills and support my friend and colleague Russ Shor.

Free Style Category: Write whatever you want here

My intention is to live the following; The next time you talk about a friend with anyone else make it something constructive and positive. I’m convinced when you treat people exactly like you see them you get the results you expect. It’s like mining for diamonds, you move tons and tons of dirt to find a single gem diamond – but you don’t go into the mine looking for dirt — you go in looking for the gems. According to Earl Nightingale; “Our environment, the world in which we live and work, is a mirror of our attitudes and expectations.” Interesting. This says to me that the attitude and expectations of my students is simply a reflection of me! Yes, I am responsible. Create a new habit of treating people exactly like you see them - with respect, and dignity, look for the gem in other people. When you look for those characteristics in others — surprise, you will find them and nurture them in you!
