We will start serving hors d’oeuvres at 6.30pm.
7-8pm we will have a deep dive presentation about building semantic segmentation models. Afterwards, we will have a reception with wine, beer and more food.

Saksham Saini and Ragav Venkatesan will present how to leverage GluonCV to build Semantic Segmentation models. We will learn how to use GluonCV segmentation both natively as well as on Amazon SageMaker to build real world applications in just a few lines of code. We will also talk about the different segmentation algorithms offered by GluonCV – FCN, PSPNet and DeepLabV3.

About the presenters: Saksham Saini is a Software Developer with Amazon Sagemaker. He did his BS in Computer Engineering from UIUC. He is currently working on building highly optimized and scalable algorithms for Amazon Sagemaker. Outside work, he enjoys reading, playing music and traveling.
Ragav Venkatesan is a Research Scientist at Amazon Web Services AI Labs. Formerly, he was a PhD student at ASU and Computer Vision Research intern at Intel. Ragav is author of the book "Convolutional Neural Networks in Visual Computing: A Concise Guide (Data-Enabled Engineering)".

Please join to meet your fellow Deep Learning with Apache MXNet enthusiasts, to learn and discuss.
