Wakulla Springs State Park Day Hike/Swim/Picnic

We’ll meet at the Park in the picnic area at 8:00 a.m., as soon as the park opens, and hike while it is still cool. Distance and pace will be determined by the participants, but we usually try to do about 6 miles at 2 miles per hour. It is an out-and-back trail so we will hike about 6 miles or until we get tired and want to turn around.  The rest of the day will be spent enjoying the spring and a picnic lunch.  Drinks and grill supplies will be provided.  Bring plates, flatware, your food, and a dish to share if you wish.  Families and pets (on lead at all times) welcome.  Entrance fee for the park is $4.00 per car load, so if you want to car pool from Tallahassee I suggest you start a conversation here.

Thanks again for the hike. We ended up eating at the lodge. They have amazing fried chicken! It was great meeting everyone.
