That's great, Robert. It is for a very good cause and a very scenic ride. See you then.

Steve, Thanks for leading this ride. I love the canal. Being in the front was fun. I dropped back a few times and got some nice 22 mph sprints in. Tim had a good time as well. We are both looking forward to doing more with you. If you do the Allaire ride. Tim and I do that ride all the time for a 45 to 50 mile outing.

Bob, glad you and Tim enjoyed it. I definitely plan on doing a shore ride in the upcoming months. Will keep you posted.

Hey Steve- good choice on the trail for the 2013 maiden voyage. My sister got the cycle craft flyer in the mail yesterday which is a sign I should probably shop for a hybrid. Hey Terry-thanks for the company. Nice to meet new people....

Thanks everyone for a great ride. We were blessed with fantastic spring weather. You were such a spirited group of bikers, it was a
pleasure to lead you. Special thanks to Bob and Tim for leading the
group and Terry for being the sweep. You all did an excellent job.
Hoping to set up another great ride in the future and I hope you
all will be able to attend. Happy Birthday Joanie !!!

Steve - thank you for leading a great bike ride. It was a perfect day - the weather, the trail, the scenery and the group. The after-hike stop was delectable and the 'passing of the birthday canolli' quite memorable. I am feeling my quads this evening so it was a good first day on the bike. Looking forward to lots of up-coming bike rides and adventures.

Fabulous day! Beautiful canal trail, great weather, fun group. Steve, thanks for leading and providing us with so much great information about the D and R Canal, and thanks to Terry our "sweep". I'm glad I succumbed to peer pressure to ride the additional 5 miles to enjoy the view of the lake. Look forward to the next ride...

Gotta stay close to home tomorrow -- have a buddy w/ a chainsaw coming l8r to help me clean up a couple of residual trees down from Sandy. So, dualing chainsaws must take precedence. :) Enjoy!

If anyone wants to carpool (Doylestown, PA), I have space on my car rack for one additional bike.

Woo hoo. I'm in. Is the path crushed gravel or more rocky (like Forebidden Drive?)

    1 · March 20, 2013

    • Steve L.

The path is fine crushed gravel or packed earth. It is best to ride on wide tires.
