  • Let's Architect a Smart Contract for the Blockchain!

    Building on the foundation from our last two sessions ("Demystifying Blockchain", and "Smart Contracts on the Blockchain"), we will, as a group create a top level architecture for a Smart Contract Use Case. Please, [1] bring your laptop, and [2] come prepared with one or several suggestions for Smart Contract Use Cases that you would like for us to explore as a group. As a backup, I do have a Use Case in mind, but only if no other suggestions are put forth. Wouldn't it be better though, to work on something suggested by the group? At the whiteboard, we will develop [1] a Data Flow Diagram (a.k.a., a "System Model"), [2] a list Actors and [3] a rough idea of the most important functions and data items relevant to the Use Case we choose to explore. NOTE: Although this discussion will appeal to "the software developer in all of us" non-programmer/developers are also welcome and encouraged to particpate. We will not necessarily do any coding, but rather we will address the Use Case in abstract terms that should be workable for all in attendance.
