Gardening Tour and Grow Your Own Food Workshop with Jake Mace

I believe Front Yard & Backyard Urban Gardening is the FUTURE!!! On December 3rd and 4th Fall/Autumn will be in full swing in the Phoenix area and IT'S TIME to plan, organize, feed, and plant out our Winter Garden (including Fruit Trees)!

Let's have a garden tour & workshop of my Tempe edible landscape that focuses on having the BEST and most productive edible garden in town! My Winter Garden is my FAVORITE one of the year because there is soooo much we can plant here in the Phoenix area that will keep us healthy and strong during the cold season. There are many things I do to ensure I have a successful edible landscape which provides food all fall/winter long! I will show you my secrets and give free seeds to everyone who comes to the workshop/tour including how I keep my sub-tropical fruit trees warm during the upcoming frost!

In this tour and class Jake Mace will lead everyone through Fruit Trees, Raised Bed and In Ground Gardens, the BEST WINTER PLANTS to grow in your garden, where to get compost, how to make the best soil, how to conserve water, how to harvest rain water off your roof, edible NATIVE PLANTS, WOOD CHIPS, and the best EDIBLE TREES to grow in the Phoenix area heat/cold! We have well over 200 edible and medicinal trees total here at our 1/3 of an acre Tempe home! This is also a GREAT event to meet and network with other Phoenix area gardeners! :)

You can come Saturday or Sunday or BOTH! ;) The Saturday & Sunday Tour & Class both start at 9am and end at 11am. Jake Mace will be on hand to answer questions and lead this event! :)

You will leave this workshop inspired and with all the phone numbers, facebook groups, company names, plant nursery information, connections, websites, and soil information to be an excellent gardener in Arizona!

*We ask for a $10 donation per person which goes toward our gardening project. You can pay at the door or here at this link:
