Climb a 3 pitch 5.7 sport climb in Telluride, top out and connect to the a Via Ferrata where you’ll traverse to a nice lunch spot with a breathtaking view. YouTube Via Ferrata for exciting videos.

About 1/2 hour travel to climb by high clearance or 4WD.
Hike about 15 minutes slightly downhill to base of Ame’s Way. Climb three fun pitches of 5.7 sport where we’ll top out on a trail. Hike trail to Via Ferrata, clip in and traverse horizontally as per photo to a nice lunch spot.
Plan on a day of physical activity at ten thousand feet elevation. You will need appropriate clothing, food and plenty of water. You must be comfortable climbing 5.8 in the gym, have outdoor experience, and have attended at least Basic Class including your Grad Climb.
Attendee list is at the sole discretion of the outing leaders all of whom are volunteers. You will be an active team member. This is not a guided tour. You will need to carry rope and gear so bring a large pack to accommodate this.

Some of the gear you will need:
Helmet, Harness, Via Ferrata Lanyards (cannot be rented unless you hire a guide, which I am not). Belay/Rappel device, gloves, headlamp, waterproof wind shell and pants, climbing and approach shoes, warm clothing, light cap that can be worn under a helmet, sun screen, prusiks, 3 locking beaners, autoblock, personal anchor, food and water, and anything else that makes you comfortable for a day of climbing at 10,000’.
