For our October event in Tempe, Martin Schoombee has graciously agreed to present on demonstrating his expertise in using Power BI to do some simple visual analytics to impress your supervisor(s) and/or other end users of your business intelligence data products.

Title: Power BI: What you need to know

This session will explore every aspect of Power BI…from the technology used behind the scenes and the tenant/service in Azure, to data refresh options and development best practices. We’ll cover everything you need to know (and more) before you embark on your first Power BI project.

Speaker Bio:

Martin Schoombee - Senior Lead Consultant with Catapult Systems.

Martin is a Microsoft-based Business Intelligence solutions expert with over 10+ years of experience providing architect level guidance and leading all stages of the development lifecycle of BI projects. He has been responsible for building numerous data warehouse/marts. Martin also presents regularly at professional meetings on SQL Server and business intelligence topics.

- Alternate FREE parking location when Tempe Beach Parking Lot is closed for special events is parking at Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281).
