What we're about

We are making beautiful scarves for residents of SafeHaven of Tarrant County. Our basic criteria is that the scarves we make could be worn, for example, on a job interview and be pretty enough to bolster confidence in the wearer. Whether sewn, knitted, crocheted, or simply assembled, with or without beaded or embroidered embellishments, our scarves are made with love and concern for and are donated to our sisters who have survived domestic abuse. Empowered4Pam.org is dedicated to the founder's sister, Pam, a fatal victim of domestic violence.

Pretty Scarves Inspire Confidence - Make Scarves for SafeHaven of Tarrant County

Bring knitting needles (size 11 or larger) and/or crochet hooks (size H or larger); yarn that you usually use to make scarves. I will have lots of yarn for making the kind of scarves one could wear on a job interview. I also have attractive yarns that can be blended with plain yarns to make each scarf unique. We want to provide lots of variety in the scarves we make, so if you have an idea, we want to hear it! We've been adding pretty buttons to some of our scarves. We're also working on ideas for scarf pins.
