The Arlington - Meditation, Yoga and Breathing Techniques Meetup Group welcomes all who would like to experience yoga, yogic breathing and meditation to calm the mind, refresh, de-stress and live more healthily and happily. We hold yoga, yogic breathing and meditation events regularly for the community. We also have events that feature culture, ayurveda and health. It's fun! Existence is a Fact... Living is an Art... These events are offered by the Art of Living Foundation, a non-profit United Nations educational and humanitarian organization, in service in more than 150 countries. One of the largest volunteer based NGOs, its founder is world renowned, enlightened spiritual leader of human values, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. An expert in the ancient techniques of meditation and bringing peace of mind, Sri Sri serves all walks of life, from all religions, cultures and traditions. We host Health & Happiness workshops regularly for people who are interested in experiencing the power of the breath and meditation to calm the mind, refresh and rejuvenate the body for a healthy and happy life. These workshops are also an introduction to the Happiness Program offered by the Art of Living foundation, which teaches: 1. Powerful breathing techniques to eliminate stress and tension 2. Skills for improving relationships at home and work 3. Tools, through meditation and yoga, to handle the mind and negative emotions
