"Girlfriends make life better". Do you live in and around the Arrowhead area? Are you in your 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's?? Here is a great group where we can get together be it over coffee, lunch and dinners, crafting, movies, games, girl's night out...you get the picture. We all have common threads and bonds in our lives and having friends helps us through all of the ups as well as downs that we experience. So....what do you say? Come join us in meeting some amazing friends!
Once a month, from 11 to 3 - a combination of a farmer's market and craft fair - go early and have lunch at Westgate too.
I am a cross stitcher and when I lived in Ohio we always had what we called stitch & bitches. Everyone would bring a snack and we'd spend the evening chatting and crafting and sharing what we were working on. It would be a great opportunity to get to know each other. Any crafter is welcome provided their craft is portable!!
Handmade greeting cards are my passion/hobby/escape. All it takes is a few pieces of paper, embellishments and glue to make something creative and meaningful for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. My cards are mostly scraplifted easy designs that come together fairly quickly.
It'd be fun to host a small group (6 gals) at my house for those who would like to try their hand at this. Since we're coming up on the holiday scramble, I'm thinking the week of November 15th. I have everything you could possibly need to make five cards for $5. If you want to bring paper glue and small scissors, so much the better! Refreshments for the evening are on me.
Has anyone ever heard of the Once a month cooking or freezer cooking? I have been reading a book that talks about organizing a group of friends together and each cooking multiple servings of the same dish than swapping....it's a day of cooking but at the end you come home with a week's worth of meals different already prepared...great for busy women. This could go along with the Recipe Exchange that was just suggested. If anyone is interested let me know and I will organize
