What we're about
The purpose of adding an LGBTQ+ allies only workshop to my offerings is because I believe that its important to carve out these nurturing spaces for the community. It is not meant to be divisive, but rather offers a creative, therapeutic, and social networking outlet that is community specific and resilience focused. I believe Toronto needs more of this so I created my own.

~~~~~~~About the facilitator
Natasha Sudenis is a Certified Art Therapist, artist, and activist specializing in chronic pain, lgbtq+ mental health, and supporting womxn within underserved populations.
~~~~~~~Do I have to have any art experience?
Absolutely not! I work from a low skill , high sensativity model. Meaning that I focus on the process of creating rather than a finished product. While we can often create meaningful and beautiful work, the purpose of these groups is not to teach a technical skill.
~~~~ "What is intuitive painting?":
Intuitive painting is letting go of having a plan or doing what we think we ought to. It means grabbing the brush and following your body, your senses, a feeling or question, and allowing for something to emerge. It helps us quiet down the inner critic and listen more carefully to our own wisdom.
Through this process we can better learn how to practice SELF COMPASSION, PRESENCE, and CONNECTION to ourselves and others.
~~~~~ Who can attend a workshop?
Anyone above the age of 16 !
~~~"Do I have to talk about my art?"
Nope! We will have the opportunity for discussion and sharing in most workshops but this is totally optional. You may wish to use this time to keep to yourself or observe.
Everyone is inherently creative and can make art, no matter what age, skill level, or physical ability.
ANTI-OPPRESSION: This group will not tolerate any intentional or unintentional acts of oppression. Including but not limited to racism, sexism, agism, ableism, homophobia
