What you didn't know about Walt Disney was he was a big train buff and that would be an understatement! Walt built a very complex train set in his backyard in the West Valley in 1950.. He would spend hours playing with his trains during his free time. From the red barn that he constructed he could monitor and remotely control the switches on the tracks. It was here that Walt could relax with his friends and dream about the future. It was in this barn that the idea for Disney land was born. On this adventure we are going to tour this barn where docents answer questions and share stories with us. The barn contains all the trains that Walt had in his yard and is set up just like when Walt was there.
We will also get to tour the train coach that Walt worked on as a boy. This event is free !
We will be here for one hour or less.
Then it is off to the Autry Museum just down the street.
