Have you ever had a garden or grown something to eat before?

What positive/negative experiences have you had with gardening?

I loved growing my own foods and this went better when I used amended soil in Washington and then composting. Didn't have much success in Hawaii before but I think it was due to the lack of any modification/additions to the soil. Hope it goes better this time around.

What would you like to learn about food gardening ?

Best planting times, best varieties for Oahu specifically. What types of fruits people are able to grow and most prolific veggies and best methods for growing here.

What skills might you share with others?

Wish I had more! I'm here to learn...

I'm Brenda. I had a backyard garden in Washington state before moving back to Hawaii. I'm interested in growing some of my own food here as well.
