We'll start out from an established subway line, the Lexington Avenue line,. The meeting point is on Lexington Ave and 77th St. below at the downtown side by the booth attendant. We will then walk south to the new Met extension, the Breuer, then to the new Apple Store . We’ll then go East towards the East River and then make our way West and North while enjoying the old architecture and some of the HOLIDAY lights on some of these amazing old masterpieces (a school, a church, 2 libraries and several residential buildings) as well as the street and avenue HOLIDAY/SEASONAL displays. We'll then walk on second avenue to see some of the new structures that are related to the development of the second avenue subway. We will end the tour on Fifth Avenue by Central Park and near the Metropolitan Museum of Art. as well as the Onassis Reservoir which was once known as the Croton Reservoir. I will relay the history of Central Park as well as the history of the Old Croton Aqueduct (as this once was an active reservoir for NYC). Please note the $20 MeetUp Member charge per person for this special tour. Discount price for students and senior citizens is offered at $17. This tour's value is actually $250 (for 10 people) as that is my charge for most of my private tours. Kindly provide me with exact payment at the venue. Like my other walks, I do not plan to cancel the walk as this is a multi group event. Also since I set a 20 person limit, please cancel your RSVP if you decide your initial plans have changed. After the tour, you can then enjoy some FREE or pay-as-you wish museums which also have some holiday displays.
Please feel free to text or call me at[masked] with any questions. Enjoy,
