For art lovers or anyone interested in art, artist and art making, and wish to meet with artists talking about their work on exhibition at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition & Red Hook Open Studios, Brooklyn. You can stay with the group or walk and talk at your own pace.
Artists work with photo, paint, collage, drawings, and many other media and will talk about their work on display as we tour the huge gallery together. There are many open studios, we will concentrate on two. BWAC an artist collective with more than twenty exhibiting artists participating in this annual event. In the same huge warehouse is HOT WOOD ARTS, an art center that provides affordable work space, exhibition opportunities, and creative support to working members of the arts community.
The immediate area offers plenty of food, drink and fun. You can use public transportation or you can take the downtown NY ferry to Ikea and walk ten minutes to BWAC, at the end of Van Brunt Street. If you drive, go through the Fairway Food Market parking lot to a second parking lot that is convenient.
