4th Annual Valentine Card Making and Music Appreciation Event

Everyone deserves a special Valentine's Day card! The Artists’ League of the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club will supply a veritable smorgasbord of paper hearts, animals of sky and earth, celestial phenomena, and more, along with blank cards and envelopes for all participants.
Musicians will be on hand to put you in that delovely Valentine's Day mood. A String Ensemble of the Brentwood Westwood Symphony starts the event, followed by Jazz pianist Reggie Woods, 9-year old Edie on the piano, Frank Sinatra sing-a-like James Brewster and finally Gerry Bryant, long-time supporter and great pianist.

Bring your kids, grandkids and friends! This event will be wonderful.

Healthy and not healthy snacks will be provided, along with tea and coffee.
The donation of $10 will benefit free art programs for homeless children at School on Wheels.

Hi, Addie. We met once some months ago. I came early and you lovely ladies were later. Then I had to leave early. I will look for you. I look pretty much like this picture. Joan

I don't know if I'll be there for the whole event, but I will certainly be there the first couple of hours. Hope to see you then.

Thank you again!! I am looking forward to coming. I wish I could also come to the Tuesday mornings, but I have a dance class at the same time. When my class takes a break...

A little bit more about the music at the event. The first hour will be enhanced by a string quartet of the Brentwood Westwood Symphony. In addition we have a 9-year old playing the piano, a sing-a-like Frank Sinatra, and a swing/jazz pianist who has done this event for the past couple of years. He's great.

    See you there.

Joan asked what kind of music we'll be having. The event will take place in the ballroom of our Santa Monica Historic Landmark building. At the front there will be a long row of tables set up with all the supplies you could possibly need to ignite your creative energy and make the most amazing Valentines. All through the ballroom rows of tables will be set up for the participants. We try to have music that enhances the romantic Valentine's Day mood. In the past we have had easy swing and classical on the piano, classical guitar, flute and we may even have a ukulele. This is not a concert, so participants can enjoy themselves and the music.

HI. Please tell me what kind of music there will be. I am not a fan of anything loud. Thanks.
