We're artists and we love art supplies. Sometimes we pick up a new medium, craft kit, art book or odd-sized canvas with the best of intentions – we're going to create that masterpiece. We all know where good intentions lead.
It's now 5 years later and those supplies and books have become clutter.
Give that stuff a second life. Bring your art supplies you are no longer using, and the art books you haven't looked at in years to the February meeting.
The art challenge for January is:
The challenge is throughout January and up to February 5. Members can use the time before the Post Holiday Party to work on their art challenge.
Gold can be any medium which evokes a golden sheen or appearance. The passage of time can be timepieces, the fine gears inside a clock or a series of smaller images that show gradual change. Be creative.
Anyone can bring an art challenge piece but only Guild members are eligible to have their work judged and considered for a show of members’ work which will happen near the end of 2019. Not a member? No problem, the membership application for the Guild can be found at https://www.coastalartsguildct.com/membership-application/.
Artists For World Peace has asked the Guild to submit more canvases tor their art wall which will go on display in various cities throughout the USA. If you want more information, you can read about their organization here: https://www.artistsforworldpeace.org/our-work
