n the Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection
Meet at 5:20
Molleen Theodore, the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Senior Fellow
In celebration of the student-curated exhibition Many Things Placed Here and There: The Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection at the Yale University Art Gallery, Dorothy Vogel will be in conversation with Molleen Theodore, the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Fellow. Dorothy and her late husband, Herbert, began collecting contemporary art in New York in 1962. Over the next forty years and with modest means, they acquired more than 4,000 works of art, including works by Sol LeWitt, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, and Richard Tuttle. Join us to hear Dorothy speak about the history of the Vogel’s collection, their practice as collectors, and the New York art world.
